Sarasota Photographer Creates First-of-Its-Kind
Immersive Art Experience at Herrig Center for the Arts
Photography exhibition features LED projection mapping and original musical score that bring still images to life
BRADENTON, FL (February 3rd, 2026) — What happens when fine art photography meets cutting-edge projection technology and an original musical composition? Visitors to the Herrig Center for the Arts in Bradenton can find out through February 27, 2026, at “Thru My Eyes,” a groundbreaking solo exhibition by Sarasota-based nature photographer Nicholas James Bath.
The exhibition features 41 museum-quality metal prints spanning landscapes, wildlife, travel photography, and Bath’s signature specialty: dreamy, painterly macro flower photography that reveals the hidden artistry in nature’s smallest details.
But what sets this exhibition apart is its centerpiece: an 8-minute immersive video installation combining LED projection mapping with an original musical score—both created by Bath himself. The projections animate directly onto the photographs, making flowers bloom, landscapes shift, and still images come alive before visitors’ eyes.
“I wanted to create more than a traditional gallery show. Photography captures a single moment, but with projection mapping and music, I can take visitors on an immersive, moving journey, showing them the world the way I experience it when I’m behind the lens.”
— Nicholas James Bath
The metal prints, produced by ArtBeat Studios, offer exceptional color vibrancy and durability, with a luminous quality that enhances Bath’s vivid nature imagery.
Bath, who has been photographing nature for nearly two decades, runs the commercial photography and video production company Thru My Eyes Productions in Sarasota. This exhibition marks his first solo fine art gallery show—and his first time combining his photography, video production, and music composition skills into a single unified experience.

Contemporary. thoughtful. imaginative and edgy approach to photography. Perfect marriage of arts and technology and unlike anything I’ve seen before.

The exhibit was a beautifully tranquil experience. The photographs of animals and natural landscapes were printed on metal rather than canvas, which gave the artwork a luminous, almost ethereal quality. Overall, the photos by Nick felt calm, thoughtful, and transportive—a place to pause, slow down, and simply be present.
